Watching a reunited Voxtrot play Stubbs at SXSW in 2023 brought a warm and fuzzy feeling to my heart. The votes are in on the Britpop(ish) tournament that we threw together a little while back and the winner is … Saint Etienne! Yes, the London-based band beat out Pulp in the final round, so thanks to all the Saint Etienne fans who somehow stumbled across our site. In honour of their victory, here’s a throwback to one of the band’s earliest singles, their cover of Neil Young’s “Only Love Can break Your Heart.” Check out the video below.
