Where are we located ?

Mainly, we reside in your heart and soul, but physically .. we are in Canada, specifically - Toronto and Vancouver. So I guess we represent pretty much all of Canada. I would also like to mention that while we are based in these two cities, Wade grew up in the Maritimes, Ricky grew up in Edmonton and Vik grew up in some small town. So we got all the demographics covered.
About the Authors
Ricky
The originator of the Panic Manual blog, Ricky comes to us from center of the universe, Toronto. Growing up in the small country town known as Edmonton, Ricky never quite fell at home in the suburban quietness. After hearing the song "Disco 2000" by Pulp when he was 15, Ricky found himself all alone in Edmonton, lost amongst the types that listen to mainstream rock and pop. From that day forth, Ricky hatched himself a magnificent plan to move to be with those who appreciate what he appreciates - good, solid music. However, that plan required money. A University degree later, Ricky was finalize able to realize his dream and moved to Toronto to go to all kinds of awesome shows and meet all kinds of awesome people. A traveler, Ricky has visited many places, including Europe, Australia, Asia and Disneyland all of which has only serve to enrich his life education. Ricky is also a big fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Pittsburgh Steelers and Toronto Raptors and if you talk trash about them, he will fuck you up.
Vik
A self confessed indie snob, Panic Manual's West Coast correspondent Vik rose from the roots of a small town in rural British Columbia to hop across the Pacific, the Yellow...then Indian to finally find himself in the motherland (India and Nepal) for 2 years, manufacturing and peddling wares in garment form for export. This also allowed him to experience what his forefathers experienced, walk the Himalayas and even ruminate a marriage offer from a village chieftain. After politely declining, he ran away to Toronto where he submerged himself in the local indie music scene for 7 happy years. Vik has since moved to Vancouver, spending most his days wondering why it only snows in Burnaby and paying extravagant prices for concerts. What keeps Vik going is his girlfriend and his love for indie music, old british comedy and video games
Wade
Wade Vroom is a horrible writer. He writes for the Panic Manual as a way to improve his writing and story telling skills. Wade knows that being able to present your ideas in a logical, structured and organized manner will help you win many arguments, even if your case is paper thin. The Panic Manual gives him a chance to practice these skills while keeping up with new music. Wade spends his time attending school at the University of Toronto, working on short video projects, hanging out with his girlfriend and trying to figure out if he really loves or really hates George Stroumboulopoulos. Thats a tough one.
Andrea
This some-time contributor digs movies, books and music. She owns an iPod but you'll find her mostly reading on the subway. The seminal moment in her life was when the girl across the street introduced her to NKOTB when she was a mere 13 years old. Fortunately, her life changed again when she got into high school and discovered "good music". Thank goodness. But flick-wise she still loves Dead Poets' Society. Hey, a classic is always a classic. Even if it's not exactly Jean-Luc Godard.
Mark
Mark likes to write for the Panic Manual whenever inspiration and creativity strike, which is rarely. But when it does, he employs a crack team of copy editors, wordsmiths, and avant-guarde culturual critiques to carefully craft his message. This method has worked so well that Mark has essentially become a third wheel in his own creative process. The original version of this bio began as "Mark likes to write", before he was distracted by flashing lights and shiny things.
Hailing from the eastern shores of Ontario, Mark moved to Toronto in the late 90's and quickly became addicted to the flashing lights of the city. An avid jazz fan, you can find him checking out live music in and around Toronto, with the occasional indie show thrown in for good measure. Mark likes to use ten words to describe what can be said in three.
