Heartworms is the project of South London’s Jojo Orme, who will be bringing her goth/post-punk sounds to Austin this March for SXSW. “Retributions Of An Awful Life” is the latest single off of Heartworms’ upcoming debut EP A Comforting Notion, out on March 24 via Speedy Wunderground.

After a few years full of high profile, big name acts topping the bill at SXSW, the festival has scaled things back over the past several years. But just because it’s been a while since we’ve seen the likes of Lady Gaga, Springsteen, Metallica, and Drake showing up at SouthBy, that doesn’t mean there aren’t still a few legendary names playing Austin this March. One of those is The Zombies, who first got their start more than 60 years ago and are still going strong today.

Check out the live performance of their classic tune “This Will Be Our Year”, recorded back in 2021 at Abbey Road Studios, below.

Yesterday, we shone the spotlight on Malmö duo 7ebra, whose upcoming debut album will be out later this year on PNKSLM Records. And today we keep the focus on PNKSLM artists with a look at Rhinestone Pickup Truck, the self-described “glitter grunge” project of Tristen Colby.

Rhinestone Pickup Truck’s Adore Me EP is out now on PNKSLM. Check out the video for “Bee Sting” below.

SXSW Song of the Day: 7ebra – I Have A Lot To Say

7ebra is a Malmö-based duo made up of Inez and Ella, twin sisters who together craft some catchy, keyboard-heavy indie rock tunes. Their upcoming debut album was produced by Tore Johansson, best known for all his work with The Cardigans and Franz Ferdinand, and based on the strength of single “I Have A Lot To Say”, I’m looking forward to hearing the whole album once it’s out.

I’m also looking forward to seeing the band live at SXSW, in part so I can find out how they pronounce their name. Is it Zebra? Debra? Sevenebra? Only time will tell.
