Though the trio of John Showman, Chris Coole, and Max Malone – known collectively as The Lonesome Ace Stringband – have been playing around Toronto’s bluegrass scene for years and have released several albums in that time, their upcoming album, Try To Make It Fly (due out on out October 13), marks the first time in their career that the band has released a collection made up entirely of all original songs.
