Sometimes I forget CMW stands for Canadian Music Week and that we should be focusing on Canadian artists at this festival. Well, here is a Canadian for you.
Haviah Mighty is a Toronto hip hop artist who reps our city well. Take this video for instance, it’s shot literally across the street from where I work! Like where was the memo? I coulda just been strollin in the background or something.
The great thing about this video is how law abiding it is, they are drinking alcoholic drinks on a boat that is tied to shore, which is legal. If anything this song has some good PSA as to alcohol consumption on boats. It looks like she just met up with some guy, had some nice conversation and a drink and then parted ways. Very wholesome and clean. How Canadian.
