Song of the Day: Walk the Moon – Anna Sun

I really enjoyed the music of the early 2000s – it was a burst of fresh energy and excitement that quickly washed away the memories of mostly bad music from the late 90’s. You had the Strokes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Rapture, BRMC and the White Stripes leading the charge on this side of the pond leading the charge.

It’s now a decade since that momentous moment (we are old) and so now we are starting to see the trickle down effect. Enter Walk the Moon an Ohio foursome whose spiky guitar licks and instantaneous catchy chorus reminds me a bit of the early Killers album. “Anna Sun” is a track off an EP that came out in 2010. It’s damn catchy. The track is also included in their big label self titled debut which was released on my birthday, in my honor. Check it out
