If there was a band that sounds like they are from some beach side town in Southern California, it’s probably Cayucas. Basically named after the town of Cayucos, Cayucas is a band whose breezy, laid back, chilled out, semi low fi sound is exactly the type of music you would expect to hear from a band whose members who probably spend their free time surfing, drinking fruity drinks and working at the local seafood shack. Their single Cayucos reminds me of summer on top of all that imagery, which is just perfect on a chilly February day.
Cayucos are currently on tour, opening up for Ra Ra Riot, and will also be at SXSW. Check out this track.
