It seemed only yesterday that Northern Ireland trio Two Door Cinema Club came out of nowhere to impress the hell out of us with their debut record Tourist History an upbeat indie pop album full of catchy pseudo dance floor tracks. This week sees the UK release of their sophomore effort Beacon. With the new record, the band continues with the formula that made them so successful in the first place – beats you can’t help but shake your head to and ridiculously melodic/catchy choruses that make you think – hmm this is pretty good. The group doesn’t really deviate from this sound, but it’s a good sound so I don’t doubt this record will be very successful.
Someday is a track off their new record and it might be my favorite one off the record, it is a perfect example of what Two Door Cinema Club is about. Check it out. I bet it’s a single.
