America – So about a year and a half ago, Danger Mouse, Sparklehorse and David Lynch released a fantastic album online, it was called Dark Night of the Soul. It was an insane collaborative effort and featured a who’s who of the music world. Take a look at the track listings:

Basically, EVERYONE was in it. Just as everyone was getting excited about it and the album was picking up steam, EMI decided to play alpha dog and kibosh the release.

Fast forward to July 12 2010, EMI and Danger Mouse have finally resolved any legal/rights issues and the album is finally released. Of course, since then, Danger Mouse has formed Broken Bells with James Mercer, and Mark Linkous of Sparklehorse effectively quit the band, and life, by committing suicide. David Lynch is in a dark corner smoking a cigarette somewhere.

While it might be a year too late, there is no disputing that this album is fantastic and we are lucky enough to have a nice prize pack to give away. I don’t quite know everything that’s on it, but here is what it looks like:
