Brian moved to Toronto from Alberta in August of 2008 and shortly thereafter began writing for the Panic Manual, both of which seemed like pretty good ideas at the time. Despite the occasional bad play or sleep-inducing Melody Gardot concert and some overwhelming cravings for the sandwiches at that one German deli in Calgary, moving east and writing for this site both still seem like pretty good ideas. In October 2009 he will begin a six-month stint living and working in The Hague, Netherlands for the International Criminal Court, which will beat out attending Coachella 2006, driving across Canada in the summer of 2008 with his girlfriend in a Toyota Echo stuffed with all his worldly possessions, and that time he watched all three Back to the Future movies in one go as the most interesting thing he’s ever done. Brian really likes the Sunparlour Players, is prone to sporadic interest in things like tai-chi and zen meditation, wears hats, and likes to listen to odd IDM like Bibio, Boards of Canada, I’m Not a Gun and talkdemonic on his Cowon D2, with some jazz, trip-hop, indie, and hip-hop thrown in for good measure, while wandering the streets of whatever city he’s in. He sometimes likes to use Twitter and occasionally blogs for HockeyZonePlus.com.
