If you hear the word “Zombi” and the year 2020 together in the same sentence, you’d be forgiven for thinking that this was just a description of the next logical step in the horror film that has been the year so far. After all, once they told us about the murder hornets, surely actual zombies wouldn’t come as too much of a surprise.
But no, 2020 is just the title of the latest album from Pittsburgh synth duo Zombi, their first in five years. And while they may have named the album 2020, the sound of first single “Breakthrough & Conquer” is pure ’80s. Check it out below.
