Now that most everyone’s self-isolating and staying inside for much of our days, the question arises: is it socially acceptable to listen to house music all night long? No, it really isn’t. At least not if you care at all what your neighbours think about you. If perhaps you don’t care, or if you’ve got really thick walls, or you live out in the middle of nowhere with no neighbours, then go right ahead I guess. If that’s not the case, then maybe just spare 5:54 to give Jarvis Cocker‘s latest a spin.
“House Music All Night Long” is the latest single off of Beyond The Pale, the upcoming album by Cocker’s latest project JARV IS. That album is set to be released in September of 2020, which feels very far off right now, but then again time has pretty much lost all of it’s meaning these days, so who really knows?
In the meantime, check out the video for “House Music All Night Long” below. With lyrics like “Saturday night, cabin fever in house nation/This is one nation under a roof/Ain’t that the truth”, I find it resonates pretty well with our current situation.
