Geographer went the route of distinguishing yourself by your genre — the group self describes as “soulful music from outer space.” Even if they weren’t the only extraterrestrial soul group out there, they’d still have the genre on lockdown. With spacey synth beating in the background and Mike Deni’s soulful voice crooning out the lyrics in the front it’s a perfect pairing of genre-bending cosmic music (and frankly, Deni’s out-of-this-world looks don’t hurt.)
