It’s almost September in Toronto, which means the city is about to take a month long obsession with films and celebrities. What better way to start that off then a film inspired party?
Young Lion Music Club‘s Kubric II: A Clockwork Orange party (event page here) is the second Kubrick themed party hosted by YLMC and well, basically, all they seem to do is fun stuff. This one will take place at the new Adelaide Hall on September 6 and will be the sort of party that incorporates art, music and dancing, all to the theme of the classic Kubrick movie.
The party will feature Weaves, who played a bunch of stellar shows at NXNE. Check out this tune here:
Brendan Canning will also be DJing the party, I heard he will be playing his new album You Gots 2 Chill on repeat the whole night. He might also play some cool shit you’ve never heard of, then have to hold your phone up in the air to Shazaam it, only to feel like a loser because everyone else around knows it. That’s life though.
It’s basically the type of party you see cool people go to on tv dramas where it looks really cool and then you are wondering how come you never go to those parties. Well, this is your chance to be one of those cool people.
Thanks to Young Lions Music Club, we have a pair of tickets to give away.
