Toronto – There’s certainly been no shortage of 60s doo wop girl revival bands these days but what makes New York’s Bandana Splits special is that they wrote a song featuring my first name. The band is fronted by Dawn Landes, long known as the girl who did an exceptional cover of Peter Bjorn and John’s Young Folks. Their album, Mr. Sam presents the Bandana Splits is available for streaming here. This track, asides from saying my name over and over again, has a playful harmonies and really good retro innocent vibe to it. Makes me wonder where the original lineup of the Pipettes went wrong.
