Toronto – So much has been written about the Balconies through out the last year, you would think that they are the biggest band in Toronto. In reality, they are just one of the hardest working bands out there. Starbucks, Steamwhistle Brewery, Sneaky Dees..these guys have played anywhere and everywhere. I sometimes feel like, if I had to take a particularly long dump, that they might play a show in that bathroom too. That’s not an insult, it’s just a testament to their incredible dedication to breaking it in the music biz.
It should be no surprise that they are playing NXNE this year. What is a surprise is where they are playing. Audio Blood Media has a showcase this year on Wednesday, June 16 in the CN Tower. That’s right. The Balconies, Hollerado and The Meligrove band are all playing in the CN Tower to kick off NXNE. It’ll be awesome. Tickets are extremely limited, so go to Audio Blood for more info.
