(Toronto) The Images Festival has started. It is a film festival, or a moving images festival. If you are into arty movies, awesome visuals and other cool stuff like that, then I guess it is for you. There’s lots goin ong. Check out the schedule. The event that I am interested in is the One Take Super 8 screening. Read on….
The One Take Super 8 Event (OTS8) began in 2000, with 20 filmmakers each shooting a single reel of Super 8 film (200 seconds), which then premiered to an audience without the filmmakers seeing their work beforehand. All the films were shown as shot. No cuts. No splices. This is the same thing that is happening at the Images screening this Wednesday night.
The whole reason that I am pimping this event is because I took part. I have a 200 second film making its World Premier on April 7th. I, along with my friends Vanessa and Maria, shot a documentary which we have yet to see. As we get closer to Wednesday night, my anticipation is growing and speculation is filling up my inbox with guesses as to what it was that we actually shot, and if it will turn out as we planned. Here are the details for the event. In total 25 other 200 second super 8 movies will make their World Premier on this magical night.

During our film shoot I recorded the audio from the entire session, which I have since mixed down into a 200 second summary to accompany my 200 second movie. I have posted the soundtrack below to our movie, MY FAVOURITE. Have a listen. If you like it, come out to see the actual movie.
