So it seems that two bands that are on my radar both have a thing for colonial, nesting seabirds. Sambassadeur and The Besnard Lakes have released new albums in 2010, and both albums have a song titled Albatross on them.
This will not do.
There must be a judgement made as to what Albatross song is better. One might call it an albatross champion. I have posted both songs below. Have a listen and vote for your favourite in the comments. Sambassadeure are a Swedish Pop band who are as cute as pie. The Besnard Lakes are a dirty, sexy, Montreal indie rock band. To be honest, I like both songs, but in the spirit of the olymics, a gold medal need to be awarded.
The Besnard Lakes play CMW in Toronto tonight at the Horseshoe Tavern at 11:10. I hope it is better than their Criminal in-store yesterday.

Horaayy..there are 2 comment(s) for me so far ;)

Nobody has voted? I am voting for The Besnard Lakes. They told Jian this morning on Q that their song Albatross was about a time one of the band members was living in Vancouver and hanging out with street musicians.
