HK – I love Suede. Check out my last.fm profile. I listen to them quite a bit. I decided to listen to that Girls band because their promo picture had a guy with a Suede shirt on. I even wrote a short, and probably crappy series on the blog about individual Suede songs I like to try and get people to listen to them. When I’m moderately drunk at parties, I like to blast “The Asphalt World” despite the fact it will completely kill the mood and depress everyone around. I only wear clothes made of Suede material. Okay, the last one I made up.
Anyways, the point is, they are my favorite band, and they are reuniting for a one off show! According to the Teenage Cancer Trust website, Suede mk 2.0 will reunite for a show at the Royal Albert Hall sometime in the near future. I’m tempted to go.
The priimary issue of course is, this is Suede mk 2.0 and not Suede 1.0. Suede 1.0 is the one everyone loves – it was Bernard Butler, it was Suede and Dog Man Star, it was the 1st cd of Sci Fi Lullabies. Suede 2.0 is with Richard Oakes, who can probably play most of the original songs just fine, but he’s no Bernard Butler.
Either way, if you are a PR person for Nude or Suede, send me a ticket! I’ll review the shit out of the concert. It’ll probably be a 20 out of 5.
