Toronto – With 3 albums released in the first four years of the 2000s, the Delgados were definitely on course to have a pretty steady decade … or so we thought. Despite putting out three solid albums full of lush orchestral guy-girl vocal tunes, the Scottish band never really caught on as they had imagined and thus, in the spring of 2006, the band called it quits. I was quite sad because I was never able to see them live. Nevertheless, the band left us with some solid albums, especially 2000’s The Great Eastern, a Mercury Prize nominated classic that had great songs such as No Danger, Thirteen Gliding Principles and Make Your Move.
