Toronto – It’s hard to describe the Young Punx, I guess they are an electronic/dance music collective. It contains people named Hal Ritson, Phonat, Guthrie Govan, Yolanda Quartey and Nathan Taylor. Just by looking at those names you can tell they are quite diverse. You might have heard of them from their single “You’ve Got To” from a few years back. They were also the backing band for Panic Manual favorite Dizzee Rascal for his live tour.
Anyways, they have a new album coming out, called “Mashpop & Punkstep” which is a pretty accurate description of their first single The Simple Pleasures. The song features three vocalists and takes twist and turns across various genres of dance music, so it’s hard to classify what it really is. It’s got a beat and it sounds good. Thats what I say.
Anyways, check it out.
