Next week marks the beginning of the 5th annual Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival which is happening from November 10th to 15th. What is the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival you ask? Well sketch comedy is like Saturday Night Live but performed live in front of you. If you like funny stuff happening on stage in various different formats, then the sketch fest is for you. Alcohol is often involved too.
This year there will be 50 troupes performing on 3 stages over 6 nights. Shows are happening at Theatre Passe Muraille, Comedy Bar and the Second City. Full schedule is found HERE.
If you are into underground scenes and want to see the next big thing before they are a big thing, then I would suggest you take in the festival. To help you navigate the variety of acts that are coming to town we will be running some previews of sketch acts that I think are pretty awesome. Look for them in the next few days.
Here is something I never get tired of watching.
