Toronto – Despite having a stage name that sounds like the dude might be on Big Brother or something, Jamie T is actually a dude from England who makes music that is kinda like the Streets mixed with early Arctic Monkeys. Basically, he kinda sings clever lyrics in an English accent over some good musical arrangements. His first album Panic Prevention was nominated for a Mercury award and was pretty good. His second album Kings & Queens was recently released and it too, is pretty good. It’s more optimistic then one would think a arctic monkeys meets the streets album would be and songs like Sticks and Stones and Earth, Wind and Fire are standout tracks.

Check it out.

Nice post, always happy to see people blogging about Jamie T as i dont think he gets quite enough recognition as he deserves.

I would agree that “Sticks and Stones” and “Earth, Wind and Fire” are stand out tracks, although you appear to have missed out “Man’s Machine” and “spiders Web” :p

Thanks again
