Remix Wednesday – Animal Collective – Summertime Clothes (Dam-Funk Remix)
Toronto – I will be the first to admit, I don’t really “get” Animal Collective. I know a lot of Queen street rayban wearing vintage clothes hipsters think they are the next coming of Jesus but I never really got into their music. I did listen to Panda Bear quite a bit last year, but still, I don’t really know what all the hype is about. However, that might all change soon enough – I love this song by them. It’s got the word “Summer” in the title and it sounds like a good summer happy tune. The Dam-Funk remix strips away some of the distortive noises, adds a nice drum beat and presents a more clean sound to this song. Either the original or this version, this is a great summer song.
