Toronto – Where has Sweden been lately? A few years ago, things were all abuzz with bands from Scandinavia, with bands like Radio Dept, The Legends, The Sounds and Sambassadeur dominating ipods of indie kids every where. Nowadays, it’s all about the Aussies. Well, if you have ever wanted to check out what Van She would sound like if they hailed from the land of Ikea instead of the land from down under, I present you We & Lisa.

We and Lisa are a band featuring a trio of Swedes named Antte, Petter and Doc Ron. They met while playing football a few years ago. Afterward, they played each other some tunes and decided to form a band. I haven’t heard much from these guys, but I guess they have a full length cd out and a summer EP. The song I listened to was off the Summer EP and is called ‘Independence’. It’s light, its bouncy, it’s laid back, it’s summer by the pool.

Check it out..the synth line in the song makes me want to drink some hand made lemonade.
