Ricky recently reviewd the new Au Revoir Simone album Still Night, Still Light , which I am quite enjoying. As a lover of all things stop motion, I came across this new commercial for US Cellular which features The Lucky One from Au Revoir Simones’ last album, The Bird Of Music. Crayons + heat = cool.

For the spot, Riney tapped avante-garde artist, Diem Chau and her highly lauded Storytelling Crayons work. Using a range of Chau’s carved Crayon people, the Riney team melted them down and then played it in reverse

Au Revoir Simone play tonight, May 21st, at Lees in Toronto. It’s gonna be good.
