This week we’ve got some fun stuff from Classixx. They’re from LA and have made some notable remixes over the last several months, namely today’s Remix Wednesday pick, “Lisztomania”. Lisztomania is the first single from Phoenix‘s new album, Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, out May 26. Really liking this remix, it’s got a great groove and my favorite aspect is that it doesn’t tear the original song to bits, it just makes it more dancey. Which is what I think remixes should do.
Also worth noting is that this recording is featured on the upcoming compilation from Kitsuné music, Kitsuné Maison 7. For this to be Maison 7 there obviously has to be six other comps, and they all have to be pretty good in order for them to bother making a seventh. The previous comps and number 7 do not disappoint – personally I am picky about remixes and complilations and I enjoyed every single track on this one. Other artists featured include The Golden Filter, Heartsrevolution, Delphic, and MayBB (the last of whom you know of, but you might not realize it). Kitsuné Maison 7 will be out June 9 and it’s definitely worth checking out if you want to sample some of their awesome electronic groups. Here’s a little teaser video
