Panic Manual favorites British Sea Power are back! They have created the soundtrack for the forthcoming DVD release of “Man of Aran”, a documentary by the legendary Robert J. Flaherty about life on the Aran Islands, which are off the western coast of Ireland. As a huge fan of the band, upon reading about the doc I felt they couldn’t be more suited for the job. Watch this trailer and you’ll understand what I mean:
Last month they performed the soundtrack in full, and I heard it was a lovely experience. If this sort of thing strikes your fancy or you’re just a BSP nerd like me, order the CD and DVD packaged together here (NOTE! The DVD is region 0!). According to the band’s blog, they’re also working on their 5th proper album. Can’t wait, and I hope to see the boys stateside sometime this year. Until then you can catch them all over the UK this summer
