Toronto – If you look up ‘Hot Fiya’ in the dictionary, you might stumble upon a picture of Natasha Khan, because her band Bat For Lashes is about the hottest thing in this imaginary internet music blogging world we think we live in. With heaping praise from Thom Yorke to Pitchfork Media, Bat For Lashes’ second album – Two Suns is the defacto conversation subject for hipsters to impose their musical superiority. “Oh you haven’t listened to Two Suns yet? It’s soo good”.

With all the hype, it’s just as easy to dismiss it as ‘the next great hype’ and wait two weeks for the next great thing, but let me tell you – Two Suns is a fantastic album worthy of your time. The lead single “Daniel” is mesmerizing. I think I’ve listened to it fifteen times or so in the past few days. Here’s the excellent video:

Bat for Lashes play the Mod Club on Saturday, with Lewis and Clarke opening.

I guess I should note that Josh wrote about this a few days ago as well. Here is a remix of the song
