Toronto – For better of worse, I have been pretty much addicted to the show 24 ever since discovering it midway thru season 3. It is the equivalent of TV crack, and once you start watching, you simply cannot stop. Sure it’s unrealistic to the point of ludicrous at times, but the dramatics are what make this show good. After taking significant time off, 24 returns with yet another pressure filled day for Jack Bauer. So I figure I will do my best to do a weekly take on 24 after each episode. It will be after a cut, since I don’t want to spoil things for people.
- The dad from the 70s show is playing a Senator, I kept on thinking he’d call Jack Bauer a dumbass
- holy crap it’s Billy Walsh from Entourage…with a crew cut
- This new FBI agent is pretty damn attractive, where have I seen her before? Definitely upgrade from Chloe.
- What is the likelihood that the USA’s uses one firewall to protect everything vital to the US?
- I am pretty sure the person who designed and develop this firewall would probably have security around him at all times.
- I love the explanation of Tony Almeida not being dead – “You didn’t go to the hospital with him, therefore, he is not dead” I guess with this explanation a lot of people aren’t dead. Nina might not even be dead – sure Jack shot her, but he didn’t go all the way to the hospital with her ..
- I can see myself hating this whole “President’s husband is going pyscho” storyline very quickly
- Nice dig on the current US gov’t by having the TV president not invading a country until they have an exit strategy
- Whats with the crappy SFX on the airplanes? sure economic times are rough, but those planes looked like they were CGI by some first year computer graphics student
- Its nice to see a new set of enemies – Africans. I guess they have done almost everyone else already. Maybe they got inspired by the trailer for Resident Evil 5:
- nice Rayban product placement.
Overall, it was an okay start. This is really episodes 3,4 since you wouldn’t know who that African dude was unless you watched Redemption. I really don’t think a man like Tony Almeida would have let himself get captured that easily though.
