Toronto – With the internet so popular these days, I think if you are an up and coming band, you should make your band name as unique as possible, so that when someone searches for your band, they find it right away. It is a good thing that the Scottish band Travis has been around for ages, since it would be too hard to find them on the interspace. Name aside, Fran Healy and his band of friends are once again back with another album, set to be released on November 8. According to the press release, its “their first album to be written on electric guitar since Good Feeling”. Now I don’t know about you, I kind of of figure most bands write songs on pen and paper first, but I guess Travis is rich enough to just write them on guitars.

It seemed only yesterday when “Why does it always rain on me” was tearing up the radio and everyone was wearing that mini-mohawk that Fran had. I saw Travis for free at the Virgin Megastore on Robson in Vancouver in 2001 and it was pretty good. Another Travis story I have was that I let my Christian friend Tim borrow ‘The Man Who’ back in university and he lost the cd, and then never repaid me. I decided then and there to never trust Christians again.

Here is the title track off the new album, which is in stores soon.
