From Wikipedia

Eagles are large birds of prey which inhabit mainly the Old World, with only two species (the Bald Eagle and Golden Eagle) found in North America. They are members of the bird order Falconiformes , family Accipitridae, and belong to several genera which are not necessarily closely related to each other in any sort of way.

Eagles are differentiated from other birds of prey mainly by their larger size, more powerful build, and heavier head and bill. Most eagles are larger than any other raptors apart from the vultures. Like all birds of prey, eagles have very large powerful hooked beaks for tearing flesh from their prey, strong legs, and powerful talons. They also have extremely keen eyesight to enable them to spot potential prey from a very long distance. This keen eyesight is primarily contributed by their extremely large pupils which cause minimal diffraction (scattering) of the incoming light.

Toronto - Once in a while, I remember stuff like ‘oh right, I made a blog so I can write about music once in awhile’. Well, once in a while is now I guess. Jens Lekman is a Swedish person who makes really excellent music and he is probably good at assembling furniture. But first things first, music. This cd will be in the top 5 of the year, if it’s not at the top already. What kind of music is it you ask? I guess it’s pop music. But pop is short for popular, and I don’t know if it’s appropriate. It’s just good singer-songwriter music I guess. Very pleasant shit.

I don’t really buy cd’s these days, but if you put 20$ in my hand and be all like ‘you must buy a cd right now, or the world will explode’, then I would buy this cd. Now I am not the best person in terms of explaining music, so I will provide you with an actual song off the album. How sweet is that?

For all you mop head, tight jeans bitches, heres the pitchfork review:

** After reading this, I realized I didn’t write anything about what this album sounds like. So what does it sound like? It sounds like summer, rolling hills of green green grass, most of it smokable. Feels like a care free day, where you can laze about lying down on the hills looking up at the blue skies and counting the clouds. Then some swedish babes come along and offer you some lemonade just when you feel a little parched. You remember that scene in Billy Madison, when Adam Sandler is visualizing what would happen if he won that tournament? thats what this album feels like. A grand ole happy time.

Toronto - The Polaris Music Prize is going to be announced on September 24th and I am going to attempt to pick the winner for you now.

The winner is going to be the Besnard Lakes

Why? Because I just have a feeling, and earlier this year when their CD came out, I couldn’t shit sideways without hearing about it. It is also a really good CD too, especially when you are frying up some eggs and bacon on a lazy Sunday morning.

A lot of people are picking Miracle Fortress to take the Polaris honor this year for the simple fact that he is probably the most ‘independent’ of all the nominees and also because he is a dark horse, just like Owen Pallet was last year. If the Besnard Lakes don’t take it, Miracle Fortress just might.

Most of you probably know about this, but its gotten pretty hilarious. Obviously, Britney bombed at the VMA and everyone ripped her for it, so some flamer posts this on youtube:

Leave Britney Alone

It is pretty painful to watch, and u’ll probably last 30 seconds and then close the window.

Of course, this shot to #1 on the youtube thing, and the guy has since been doing the late night television circuits. So last week, Seth Green posts:

Leave that guy alone

which was in response to the guy, who made the first video. Its pretty funny.

and now there are parodies, like this one, about bill belichuk (NFL coach caught cheating):

Leave bill belichuk alone

I am sure when all the great greek philosophers and intellects were debating what life would be like in 2000 years, this was definately what they had in mind.

Great new track by Candie Payne called One More Chance….produced and remixed by Mark Ronson…nice indiepop track…sorta reminds me of Camera Obscura…full length 12 track album was just rereleased last month and is called I Wish I Could Have Loved You More. It features the new Mark Ronson mix. Other singles include I Wish I Could Have Loved You More, All I Need To Hear, and Take Me.

man oh man, you will lose it when you watch this clip.
