Vancouver, Along with the billions of other geeks, I’m eagerly anticipating the final installment of Micro$oft’s cash cow Halo 3. I’ve been a big fan of the entire series to date, more so for the gameplay as I’m still trying to figure out what the heck is going on with the story.

I wanted to write a post just to give folks here in Canada who may have pre-ordered Halo 3 from Dell and have yet to recieve a confirmation and are wondering what the heck is going on.

Back in July, I got a tip on my RSS feed from RedFlagDeals.com announcing that Dell was having quite a bargain for the Halo 3 pre-order at CAD $55 (all in) for the regular edition (it comes to savings of around $25 compared to the going rate). Needless, to say i clicked on that order button faster than a teenager closes his browser window after his mom walks in on him exploring donkeylove.com. Fast forward to last Thursday, I started getting worried because I only recieved an acknowledgement email from Dell saying that my order was recieved, but not confirmed. I called to find out the status. The Dell Lady was pretty helpful, she didn’t give any explanation as to why they have not confrimed but did reassure me that the game is in stock and will be shipped this week with an email notification beforehand. I’m still a little worried because a friend of mine ordered an extra 360 wireless controller 3 months ago from Dell (again, cheap deal) and has still yet to recieve it.

So the bottom line friends, if you pre-order stuff on the cheap, keep checking back on the status or else you may end up getting what you pay for…that being said, here are some more cheap Xbox 360 accessories from Dell…I’ve already ordered the wireless headset :-l …

* Xbox Live Gold 12 Month Subscription Card - $39
* Xbox 360 Wireless Headset - $49
* Xbox 360 Elite Accessory Pack - Black Wireless Controller and Play and Charge Kit - $59

I’ll post an update once I recieve one.
