Continuing on with the foods that populate a Chinese wedding banquet.

I guess some background, the bride was my mom’s cousins’ daughter. I guess I’ll see them twice a year, but the groom gave me a ride home from Richmond Hill once after a family dinner, so he’s cool by my standards. The wedding took place at some restaurant in Scarborough, there was either a “Dragon” or “Dynasty” in the name. Its funny how you always see Dragon and Pearl in Chinese restaurants, I guess its part of a culture, but you don’t see Japan restaurants with “Godzilla” in their title or “Blue guy with five arms” in any brown restaurants.

New China (Scarborough) - From the beginning of time, the white man has always wondered: beyond the Great Wall, and the Forbidden City, what is it that they eat in the Far East? This was one of life’s biggest questions for years, alongside such great ones as ‘what is the meaning of life?’, ‘does god exist?’ and ‘if a tree falls in a forest…’.

Well, since China opened its doors to foreigners from all over, some of the mystique has magically disappeared. However, I still get asked questions about my motherland. Specially when I attend a Chinese wedding. Well, here I am to provide a good sample of what it is as Chinamans eat, when two people decide to bind their souls together, forever and ever.

Mother and The Addicts is a Glasgow-based band signed to Chemikal Underground Records. This is the video for the first single off their second album called Science Fiction Illustrated which was released in the UK last week. Very catchy new wave influenced Big Audio Dynamite type of indie track.

Vancouver, Jason Bourne recently held a press conference in London promoting the third installment of his bio-pic. It seems like Davie-boy (as he in now called) had a few choice words for the spy-with-many-faces Mr. 007. “Bond is an imperialist and a misogynist who kills people and laughs about it, and drinks Martinis and cracks jokes,” he told reporters.
