Toronto - I’ll be honest, I didn’t hear about this game til about three weeks ago, when a coworker showed me a demo video. It didn’t look that great, but with the incredible reviews and hype, I gave this game a chance and man its freaking awesome.

So, what is this game? It is a FPS, so you will be running around killing stuff. But the thing is..theres so many ways to kill someone. As the game progresses, you get these powers. These powers include - electricity, fire, telekinesis, freezing, freaking bees and other cool stuff. You can only imagine the possibilities. See an enemy in the water? zap them. Enemy on an oil slick? burn them. In a bar? set the alcohol on fire, and then throw them at the enemy. Instant molotov cocktails. You can throw anything thing you can pick up at the enemy, so you can kill an enemy, then use his corpse to kill another enemy. You can also set that corpse on fire, and then throw it at the enemy. Personally, if I was some enemy dude, and i see some guy walking around with a corpse floating in front of him, id turn the other way, but not these guys. Also the weapons are cool, tripwires, fake dummies and proximity bombs. Obviously these guys have played Duke Nukem before.

You can probably read the other reviews for the plot and stuff, but I just say, this game is a must-buy for fans of this genre.

Hi….This is the video of the week… Check this one out:

Great track by the outfit Maps called You Don’t Know Her Name. Maps is one bloke named James Chapman. Droning melodic indiepop..His first Album We Can Create is up for the Mercury Award in the UK. This is the second single off the album. Interesting bizarre video too.

Other singles off We Can Create
It Will Find You

coworker sent me this music video, its decent

We are probably the first and only indie-twee-britpop-rock, video game-movie-travel-food-gadget reviewing, asian centric-maritime influenced Canadian blog on the interweb.
