Just realized that the Arcade Fire show last week was my 8th show of the year. Comparing it with previous “8th show” I have seen, I have concluded that I am, indeed, getting older. Check out the dates from my previous “8th show”:
2004 - March 8, British Sea Power @ Horseshoe
2005 - April 2, Bloc Party @ Opera House
2006 - April 20, Ladytron @ Opera House
2007 - May 15, Arcade Fire @ Massey Hall
as we can see, I have been seeing less and less concerts, as time has progressed. Sooner or later, my 8th show will be in June, and i’ll be qualified to go for the seniors meal at Smittys.
Yeah this was an absolutely pointless show, but its friday, and really thats it.
Quick Reviews of Five albums I have listened to this week:
Sophie Ellis Bextor - Trip The Light Fantastic - pretty good for pop album, some good tunes.
The Cribs - Men’s Needs, Women’s Needs, Whatever - kinda boring, typical cribs stuff, not as good as first album
Ladybug Transistor - Can’t Wait Another Day - decent album, wasnt really paying attention when i put it on
Joel Plaskett Emergency - Ashtray Rock - good ole Canadian rock, pretty much what you expect
Mark Ronson - Essential Mix - 2007 - good shit, its a dj set from bbc or something, some of the mashup bits in this thing is hype.
