Headphones

21 Mar

Ever since my Sennheisers self combusted about four months ago, I’ve had to ghetto it at work by listening to music via my earbuds, which i don’t prefer too much. It led to me listening to music at work thru speakers for half the time, and earbuds the other half. However, listening to speakers is only okay, since u don’t pick up as much details as you would with headphones. I don’t want to put the music thru the speakers too loud, as that might alienate some coworkers around me and I may get in trouble.

Anyways, during lunch hour today, I didn’t have much to do since I ate at my desk and thus went on bought myself a nice pair of speakers. The speakers in question is the Grado sr60. Now I had been eying the sr80 for sometime, but upon listening to both, i couldn’t really tell a big enough difference between the two headphones to justify spending 50$ more on a pair of speakers. Also, I found the 60s to be a bit more comfortable.

Whats the verdict? well these sound pretty good right now. I think i have to break it in a little, as the band is a bit tight right now, but there was a warning on the headphones that say you will have to break it in, so i guess that’s pretty much expected.

you can replace the grado earpads, with earpads from the sennheiser HD414. the senn. earpads are yellow.
