orignally there were plans for me and some peeps to meet up at a bar (where i went last year) to watch this. i dont really care about the show itself too much, but i won a dvd there last year and was kinda eager to defend my crown for picking award show winners, despite seeing maybe 5% of the actual movies.
however it was miserable outside, so i stayed in and kinda watched the show. my interest level dropped severely after the first hour and i was doing other things while randomly catching whats going on…
anyways.
Running Commentary:
8:30 - hmm nice ipod commercial. err, i mean opening segment. It was pretty well done i guess, since it wasn’t too boring. (my roommate says that means the editing was good)
8:35: - this is ellen degeneres not being funny..
8:41: - steve carell’s facial reaction was funnier then the whole monologue

Its absurd how much people are willing to pay for arcade fire tickets. This has got to be a record for a band that hasn’t been around for longer then a few years.
Should be a good show though
24 - Ever since they nuked Valencia, the show has gone downhill, while this weeks episode was okay, I still think 24’s been treading water this season. I can’t believe they couldn’t cast Donald Sutherland to play Jack’s dad. James Cromwell is okay, but I keep on expecting a talking pig to show up at any moment. I also can’t believe he would kill/try to kill both his sons, and would kill his grandson. Who is he gonna pass the company to? That Morris dude is annoying too. The whole president conspiracy thing gets played out every year and it’s starting to show it’s wear and tear. Also, I don’t really think the principal from Buffy makes a good president. The guy’s got less charisma then Al Gore. I also wonder why Palmer’s sister was never ever mentioned in the previous five seasons of 24, she’s annoying and hopefully she dies soon.
Prison Break - I have yet to watch it this week, but I suspect the plan that Michael comes up with goes wrong, and they have to do some more running, furthered by more tension between the girl and the fbi agent, followed by michael squinting and his brother grunting and maybe choking or punching the fbi agent. The Kkorean guy probably gets pissed somehow too and the other escapees run into potential situations where they might captured, but escape. Maybe one of them dies at the hands of the other FBI agent, who was in the movie Go. Maybe not.
Heroes - Now this was a good episode. That Peter guy is becoming a bad ass and has all sorts of power. It appears next week we finally figure out whats going on with the Dad. Also, there was nothing on the Ali Larter story line, which is a crappy ass storyline. It appears that Sylar will end up being the super bad guy and Peter will become the super good guy. If I was Peter, I’d just team up with Sylar and rule the world. I mean, really, Peter could just be like ‘yo man, i know how u feel, i can take peoples powers too, so lets team up, since our powers are pretty much the same..and rule the world’. Peter could then just stand close to the guy and absorb the power, then Sylar can do his thing. That would make a good show, as then it would be like the US army against these two guys or something and there would be tanks and missiles and stuff.
Lost - Why is it Bai Ling plays an Asian slut every time she is on a show? why is she even acting? She was playing a Thai fortune person and she’s writing in Chinese characters? wtf? I wouldn’t mind if this show answers everything and ends, but we know that won’t happen.
