Bed Is Rude
Bed is Rude is a band comprised of one of my buddies on my soccer team, he is also the person who wrote the song about me (”Albertian Soccer Star”). He just recently came out with a myspace page so any input you would have on his music is highly appreciated. His voice is similar to Ben Gibbards..although his demeanor usually is the opposite..haha. Anyway, check it out.

Infighter
A couple people I know play in this band, they are the drummer and the bassist respectively. Infighter sounds like some late 80s - early 90s british band. The lead singer is really over the top whenever they play live. Like, REALLY over the top. Morrissey fan club member he is, I bet. Anyways, they are about to release a cd and all that stuff, feel free to check them out as well.

Funny part from that article, the people in the discussion panel were saying what their first concert was, and the answers were like the beatles, the fall, the stranglers, etc. then antony (of antony and the johnsons fame) pretends he forgets, then finally admits it was duran duran. haha.

Man, this is one fantastic compilation. I am listening to it right now and its got a great vibe to it. The DJ Kicks series is basically compilation made by any specific artist. This one happens to be Daddy G of the Massive Attack fame. As you would expect, there is a plenty of trip hop, dub and reggae influenced music on this album.
If you get the chance to check it out, I highly recommend it.
